Retirement Programs Contacts
Current U.S. Secret Service employees are eligible to receive retirement and health insurance benefits via the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) which applies to those hired after 1984. FERS consists of a three tiered component to benefits which requires active participation and plan management in order to maximize benefits. FERS has an investment component for each individual's contributions and therefore employees might elect to choose a financial advisor to assist in their retirement planning. The following links connect to The Office of Personnel Management online sites offering extensive information about an overview of the system, eligibility, computation of benefits and pertinent contacts.
