A Call to a Higher Duty: Be a Guardian of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games
This is more than a message: it's a call to action for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Last week, we officially opened applications for the LA28 Olympics Volunteer Program, presented by Delta Air Lines. We are calling on USSSA to rally your finest.
We invite your members — the experienced, dedicated, and heroic first responders and public safety professionals — to bring their invaluable skills to the world's greatest stage. This isn't just about volunteering; it's about being at the very heart of the action, filling critical security roles that will be the backbone of a safe and successful 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
USSSA members are the calm in the chaos, the unseen heroes who protected our communities daily. Now, all have a chance to be part of the elite team that ensures the safety of athletes, dignitaries, and millions of fans from across the globe.
Volunteers must be available for a minimum of 10 crucial shifts during the 2028 Olympic or Paralympic Games. Most of the events will be in the greater Los Angeles area but there are also venues in Oklahoma City, New York City, Columbus, Nashville, St. Louis, San Jose and San Diego. Housing, transportation, meals and other compensation will not be provided.
